Clients I Work With

I specialize in working with military service members, veterans, first responders (law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS personnel), and individuals struggling with the effects of complex trauma and addiction. I understand the unique demands of high-stress professions, including repeated exposure to critical incidents, operational stress, burnout, moral injury, and the challenges that can arise when balancing work, family, and personal well-being. My practice is focused on helping clients navigate trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and life transitions. I work with individuals who may feel stuck in survival mode, overwhelmed by past experiences, or caught in patterns of addiction that no longer serve them. Drawing on both extensive professional experience and clinical training, I provide a supportive, direct, and practical approach to treatment.

Approach

My counseling approach is grounded in Carl Rogers’ person-centered theory, emphasizing authenticity, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. I believe meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and understanding. I meet clients where they are, providing a supportive, nonjudgmental environment for growth and healing. Whether you are a military service member, first responder, or someone struggling with trauma, addiction, or life stressors, I work collaboratively with you to identify strengths, overcome obstacles, and develop practical strategies for lasting change. Change can be difficult, but it is possible—and worth the effort. Together, we will work toward finding Peace Through Change and creating a more fulfilling, forward-moving life.
