Clients I Work With

I specialize in working with adult children of immigrants struggling with anxiety, second-guessing themselves, and always trying to keep others happy to stop neglecting their own needs and experience a better relationship with themselves and their family.

Approach

I hold space for those who don't dare to take up space, provide support when it feels like there's nowhere to turn, and laugh alongside you as we do the difficult, and rewarding work. Together, we’ll explore your upbringing, culture, and experiences to shine light on the way you view the world, yourself, and those around you. People work with me to reflect deeply within themselves and make the choice to break old habits and generational cycles that no longer serve them to make space for their authentic selves.

Beliefs & Lived Experience

As a Muslim, Indo-Caribbean, woman who is the oldest daughter of immigrants, I’ve lived the struggle of navigating multiple minority identities. I have seen, first-hand, many people struggle with their mental health and how it impacts not only them but also others around them, including those they care for the most. The stigma that surrounds mental health care in BIPOC, Muslim, and other marginalized communities often makes it harder for us to seek help. We’re expected to have it all together and not show any signs of struggle. Our shared lived experience, which can’t be taught, runs deep. I have the cultural and psychological knowledge that helps bridge the gap between mental health care and your specific needs.
