I have specialized training and experience in treating trauma, PTSD, and perinatal mental health. I am trained in EMDR to help you get "unstuck". I also work well with anxiety, grief, helping professions/first responders, burnout, & perfectionism.

Approach

Hi! I'm Aimee. I am passionate about helping you to connect to your own values, personal strengths, and community/family resources to cope with life’s challenges. I do my best to match my approach with your needs, drawing from EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Processing and Relational Therapy, Feminist, and trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. Outside of work I love cooking, exploring new places, watching horror movies, and quality time with friends and family. I look forward to meeting you!

I strive for antiracism and social equity. That means I will bring my trainings and mental health experience to the table (or couch), while you remain the expert on your life and your needs. It also means I see therapy as a collaborative process and want your feedback in order to best support you. I have lived experience in coping with trauma and mental health concerns (as most of us do). This helps me to lead with compassion and authenticity.

More About My Practice

I also offer EMDR mini-intensives, or extended sessions, in 3-hour and 4-hour formats for those looking to 'deep dive' into a specific trauma processing goal. This format works best with single-incident traumatic events, or single incidents within a larger EMDR treatment plan. Please book a consultation call or see my website to learn more! Additionally, I am licensed to provide supervision hours to LPCs in Ohio!

I am able to bill MedBen and Custom Design Benefits. I am in process of credentialing with additional payers, but at this time I am out-of-network with all other insurance plans. I offer sliding scale on a limited basis based on financial need. I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
